SHAH ALAM

Three men, posing as temple priests, robbed a senior citizen of a car, valuables and cash totalling about RM40,000, at his house near the Shah Alam National Botanical Gardens here today.

Earlier, the trio had requested the 60-year-old victim to give some leaves from a tree in his garden, purportedly for a religious ceremony.

Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Zahedi Ayob said subsequently, the intruders, armed with a machete, entered the house and held up the man, his wife and the couple's son.
