My Story, Three killed in fishing boat blast

KUDAT: An explosion aboard a fishing vessel at the port of Kudat last night is believed to have resulted in the deaths of three people, two of them women, according to the Kudat Fire & Rescue Department.

Its chief of operations, Mohd Saidi Tabin, said today the fire which resulted from the explosion also engulfed two other fishing boats in the incident which occurred at about 9.30 pm.

The body of one woman was found floating in the sea at about 6.30 am today and the two other bodies were found at about 12.30 pm, he said.
