KUALA LUMPUR: National 400-metre hurdler Noraseela Khalid has the right to voice dissatisfaction against the Malaysian Amateur Athletics Union (MAAU) for allegedly neglecting the welfare of athletes.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said, as a senior athlete, she was entitled to voice her opinion to ensure the welfare of athletes, including back-ups, were looked after.
"We view Noraseela as a senior athlete who has contributed to athletics, other than guiding other athletes, including juniors.
