SHAH ALAM: A common reply from well-off parents when informed their child had committed a crime is: "My kid didn't do it. His friend did!"
Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah described the case of parents being in denial for wrongs committed by their children as a major concern.
"This mindset has to change as there is an increase of crimes committed by students, mostly involving theft of motorcycles," he said.
