KUALA LUMPUR: The 11 umpires who allegedly violated the “code of ethics” will not be punished.
Action against the umpires was recommended by the Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) Umpiring Committee.
MHF vice-president Datuk Abdul Rahim Md. Ariff, who is also the Competitions Committee chairman, said the management committee decided to let the matter rest.
“We want to start on a new slate,” said Abdul Rahim.
The 11 umpires had indicated they were unhappy with delinquent players being let off with light sentences.
