JOHOR BARU: The High Court here today sentenced a man to death by hanging after he was found guilty of trafficking 494.81 grams of drugs early last year.
Justice Datuk Abd Halim Aman passed the death sentence on Chai Tee Keiong, 55, after finding that the defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt against the charge.
Chai was charged with trafficking in 430.98 grams of heroin and 63.83 grams of monoacetylmorphines in front of a house number 63, Kampung Lukut Cina, near Kota Tinggi, about 2.20pm on Jan 25, 2010.
