GEORGE TOWN: In less than 12 hours after a six-year-old girl, believed to have been subjected to physical abuse, was found crying and locked up in her Jalan Perak flat here yesterday, police have picked up a
suspect.
The 49-year-old man, a worker at a scrapyard, was arrested by police and People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel at the Jelutong market at 12.30am today, a police spokesman said.
The man, who had shaved bald apparently to escape detection, was carrying a bag of clothes on the motorcycle he was riding, he said.
