My Story, Ku Li: Show teachers extra appreciation

GUA MUSANG: Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has proposed that the government award more incentives to teachers who are able to produce many top students.

Compared to other civil servants, he said, teachers had a bigger responsibility in ensuring Malaysians have a solid foundation for the future.

Existing forms of appreciation given to teachers were insufficient compared to the contributions made by teachers serving primary and secondary schools, he said, here, today.
