Aiding the poor is to fulfill the 'people first' promise of the present administration, says Nazri

BESUT: The government has no intention of fishing for votes when it gives out aid to the people, including the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M), said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.
He said the aid was to carry out the government's responsibility to assist the poor besides appreciating their contributions towards the government and to fulfill the "people first" promise, pledged by the present administration.
