AMMB pretax 2Q profit up
AMMB Holdings Bhd posted a higher pretax profit of RM498.34 million for the second quarter (2Q) ended Sept 30, 2011from RM465.19 million. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, it said its revenue increased to RM2.14 billion compared to RM1.77 billion previously. The company also recorded 16% growth in profit after-tax and minority interest to RM811 million for the first half of financial year 2012, supported by higher non-interest income and lower allowances.
