My Story, Amid turmoil, Yahoo set to unveil upcoming products

Submitted by on November 3, 2011

Yahoo's annual Product Runway, a peek at upcoming offerings from the Web giant, begins later this morning, despite ongoing corporate turmoil that could easily overshadow the event.

The September firing of chief executive Carol Bartz and rumors swirling about potential suitors or a new CEO for the company remove some of the focus on the latest Yahoo offerings. For all its challenges, Yahoo remains a massive Web presence, and it's products are among the most widely used on the Internet.

The new products are likely to include Livestand, a digital newsstand for
tablets and smartphones, according to AllThingsD. That product would put Yahoo in direct competition with the innovative Flipboard app for the
iPad, as well as Google's similar Propeller product that's slated to debut soon as well.

Below is a live stream of the event, which will start at 10:30 a.m. PT. And CNET will be at Product Runway, updating this post as the event happens. You'll need to hit refresh during the event to get the latest reports.
