KUALA LUMPUR: The several proposed amendments to the Peaceful Assembly Bill 2011 will enhance democratic freedom in the country, 1Malaysia Foundation chairman Dr Chandra Muzaffar said today.
He said Clause 9 of the bill which required the organiser of an assembly to notify the police 30 days in advance made no sense and was impossible to comply with because the issue would have passed by then.
