LOS ANGELES: The latest instalment in the Twilight teen vampire series pulverised the North American box office with an estimated US$138.1 million (S$180 million) in its weekend debut, industry data showed on Monday.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 eclipsed Happy Feet Two, a sequel to the popular animated penguin movie, which drew US$21.2 million, according to monitor Exhibitor Relations.
